2010; Messiah's Mansion -Life-size Replica of the Ancient Hebrew Tabernacle
This traveling exhibit brings Portland a chance to learn a little bit of ancient
history through a living museum. Travel back over 3,000 years into the desert
between Egypt and Palestine where over two million people banded together to
build a tabernacle for their God. Each element in the tabernacle had deep
significant meaning to the Hebrew people and this tour will bring each symbol to
life.
Messiah's Mansion will be at 1500 Southeast 96th Avenue Portland, OR. Free tours
of the Messiah's Mansion tabernacle will run from 1-7pm daily.
They have made arrangements for an interpreter for September 5th at 1:00 p.m.

Sept. 14, 2010; Tours for hearing impaired set at estate Historic Deepwood
Estate is offering two tours for the hearing impaired. On John Wilson of Salem
will use sign language during tours of the estate at 1116 Mission Street SE., in
Salem. Tours leave every hour on the hour. The last tour leaves at 4 p.m.
Admission to the museum is $4 for adults; $3 for students and seniors; and $2
for children, ages 6-12.

Pacific Northwest Gallaudet University Alumni Association will have a potluck
and meeting at Champoeq State Park. All Gallaudet University graduate are
invited! All undergraduates are welcome to join, and also those students who
were not able to receive their degree are invited as well. Please bring your
family and friends and be ready for a fun-filled day with us!
Anyone who is interested in becoming an officer, such as president,
vice-president, treasurer, and secretary with our organization for 2010-2012 is
welcome to join our meeting, and letus vote. We really need more good leaders!
You will get a free Gallaudet t-shirt only if you attend the meeting. Don't
forget to bring $10 for membership.
We ask that each person please bring something special for our potluck. Please
use the first letter of your name and bring the food, according to the list
shown at the below.
